Exceptionally beautiful and tranquil, the south Indian state of Kerala is characterized by meandering rivers, rice fields, spice plantations, verdant hills and palm-fringed beaches. This gently paced tour takes in the charming port of Cochin, the backwaters, Cape Comorin - the most southerly point of mainland India, and the outstanding temples.

Day 1: Europe / Kochi
Arrive Kochi. Transfer to hotel & Overnight

Day 2: Kochi
Morning Breakfast. Leave for the visit of Kochi, with a fine natural harbour, which has been Kerala’s center of trade for innumerable centuries. Visit the St. Francis Church, built in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan friars, The Jewish synagogue, one of the oldest in India. Afternoon visit the Mattancherry Palace or "Dutch Palace built in 1557 AD. Evening, stroll along the beach, particularly at sunset with the Chinese fishing nets and sailing ships in the background. Return back to hotel. Later in the evening enjoy the spectacle of Kathakali dance. Overnight.

Day 3: Kochi / Munnar
Morning Breakfast. Morning leave for Munnar - a hill station on the Western Ghats and a nature lover’s paradise. The drive takes us through picturesque villages and up winding lanes filled with heady fragrances of fresh tea. 1800 meters above sea level, Munnar has the highest peak in South India - Anaimudi which towers over 2695 meters. Arrive and check-in at hotel. Afternoon time free for relax or visit to a plantations of tea, coffee, pepper and cardamom.......! Overnight

Day 4: Munnar / Periyar
Morning after breakfast, drive through the winding mountain roads to Periyar. Cradled in mist shrouded mountains, Periyar nestles close to the dense rain forests of the High Ranges. Arrive and check-in at hotel. Afternoon explore the Periyar National Park by a private boat. Later stroll in the local market to witness the trading of best of the spices. Return back to hotel. Later in the evening enjoy the martial Arts show. Overnight.

Day 5: Periyar / Kottayam / Backwaters
Morning after breakfast leave for Kottayam to board on the House Boat called « Kettuvallam ». Enroute visit the spice gardens. Typical lunch served on the boat. The boat passes through the sides of spice gardens & traditional villages located at the edge of backwaters. Enroute stop at a village to see the artisanal center of the rope factory and coconut fibre weaving! Among the most current products are fibre carpets and doormats. Enjoy the boat cruise on the enchanting backwaters through the coconut groves and quiet lagoons. Dinner and overnight in boat.

Day 6: Backwaters / Alleppey / Mararikulam
Breakfast served on the boat. Disembark at Alleppey also called “the rice bowl of Kerala” because of its wealth & culture of paddy fields. This is perhaps the only area in the world where the cultivation is done at 1.5 or 2 meters below the sea level. Continue towards Mararikulam. Arrive and check-in at hotel situated at the edge of the sea. Installation in the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure on the private beach. Overnight.

Day 7: Mararikulam
Morning Breakfast. Day at leisure on the private beach, swimming pool, hammocks under the coconut trees or the Ayurveda (the life Science) is practised on the site…..! Also there are many sports possibilities like tennis, badminton, billiard and table tennis. One can go for an Ayurvedic massage. Overnight

Day 8: Mararikulam / Kochi / Mumbai (Flight)
Morning Breakfast. Full day time free for relax in the beach or for independent activities. Later in the evening transfer to airport.

Day 9: Mumbai / Europe
Board on you flight to connect for onward destination via transit in Bombay.
